We extend warm congratulations to Dr. Chinkin Coruña for delivering his lecture, “Avoiding Frustration When Treating Ulceration” during the 32nd Midyear Convention of the Philippine Orthopaedic Association (POA) in Puerto Princesa last April 11-14, 2024. The theme of this year’s meeting was Advanced Wound Care, a topic he discusses on a personal and professional level. Dr. Chinkin gave updates on the burden of lower extremity wounds in Negros Island as the sole faculty representing Western Visayas to an audience of allied health personnel from all over the Philippines. Bacolod City and Negros Island have a profound role in wound care education for the country, and the Asia Pacific region, represented by international delegates and industry partners in attendance.
