3 Ways to Treat Ingrown Toenails at Home:

  1. Do not wear socks or shoes that are too tight.

  2. Trim the nail straight across.

  3. Soak in warm water to relieve swelling or pain.

When NOT to Treat Ingrown Toenails at Home:

  1. If the ingrown nail does not improve.

  2. If it becomes redder, warmer, and more painful.

  3. If you see or feel any other changes to the ingrown nail.
